Student Leader Board - IGNITE
The IGNITE 2026 Student Leadership Camp, themed 'Lead with Courage, Serve with Heart, Impact with Purpose' held from 22–23 May 2026, brought together Prefects, Librarians, Peer Mentors, sports house captains, and clubs & society presidents and its members. The camp commenced with a Leadership Pledge reaffirming the students’ commitment to leadership and service.
The first day started with 3 sessions by Session the team builders from Vision Building encouraging participants to build connections and strengthen unity across leadership bodies. This was followed by session 2 that featured a series of team challenges that promoted communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. In session 3 participants took part in a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony, forming the word “IGNITE” as a pledge to lead with courage and purpose. The evening ended with a bonfire gathering, where Wesleyans thoroughly enjoyed fellowship, karaoke, supper, and a BBQ, fostering stronger friendships and team spirit.
The second day began with a Sponge Relay Race before students leaders engaged in session 5 that was a series of station-based activities designed to develop conflict resolution, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, followed by teams working together to complete a tower-building challenge while adapting to unexpected leadership changes, highlighting the importance of trust, resilience, and collaboration.
The camp concluded with a reflective Letter to My Future Self activity. Wesleyans penned personal goals and aspirations, with the letters sealed and set to be returned at the end of the year as a reminder of their leadership journey and growth.
Overall, IGNITE 2026 successfully equipped our Wesleyans with valuable leadership skills while strengthening unity, confidence, and a shared commitment to serving the school community with integrity and purpose.
