Faculty Week
What an incredible week it was from 15 to 19 June 2026! Faculty Week 2026 transformed our school into a vibrant hub of creativity, innovation and friendly competition as students immersed themselves in a diverse range of academic, linguistic, scientific and collaborative challenges. Throughout the week, every corner of the campus buzzed with excitement as students showcased their talents, challenged themselves and celebrated the joy of learning beyond the classroom. One of the highlights of the week was Wesley Sherlocks, where students stepped into the role of detectives to unravel the mystery surrounding the infamous Dr Goldfire. Armed with clues, logic and teamwork, participants worked tirelessly to crack the case, with the Yellow Bears solving the mystery well ahead of the other houses to emerge as deserving champions.
The Public Speaking Competition celebrated confident and articulate speakers across English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese. Conducted as an inter-class competition, students competed within their respective year levels, with the top three speakers from each form receiving awards for their outstanding communication skills, confidence and eloquence.
Innovation took centre stage during WesleyBots, where students first attended an engaging robotics workshop before designing and programming their own simulator vehicles. Using gesture-based controls, participants demonstrated impressive creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills as they brought their inventions to life.
Creativity flourished in StoryboardThat, where Form 4 and Form 5 students collaborated to create digital comics based on significant historical events before re-enacting the scenes they had illustrated. Their outstanding storytelling, creativity and teamwork earned the Green Stags the championship title.
Future scientists came alive during Tiny Labs, where students became little Einsteins by planning and conducting exciting scientific experiments alongside members of their respective sports houses. The activity encouraged curiosity, collaboration and hands-on scientific enquiry, making science both engaging and enjoyable.
Critical thinking and creativity came together during CSI, where each sports house designed its own crime scene complete with clues and evidence before challenging the other houses to solve the mystery. The Green Stags impressed the judges with both the complexity of their case and their investigative skills, securing first place.
School spirit was on full display during The Great Halls, as each sports house transformed an assigned venue according to a given theme. Through imaginative decorations, artistic flair and meticulous attention to detail, the Yellow Bears captivated the judges and claimed the championship.
Energy levels remained high during the ever-popular Amazing Race, where each sports house competed across multiple stations featuring puzzles, physical challenges and team-based tasks. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, teamwork and determination, the Red Eagles raced ahead to secure first place.
Students also demonstrated their linguistic and artistic talents through individual competitions such as Scrabble, Sahibba and Calligraphy, where participants competed for individual honours while celebrating language proficiency, creativity and precision.
Following an exciting week of competition, collaboration and unforgettable memories, the coveted title of Faculty Week 2026 Overall Champion was proudly awarded to the Red Eagles, whose consistent excellence across numerous events earned them the highest overall score.
More than a week of competitions, Faculty Week 2026 inspired students to step beyond their comfort zones, discover new talents and develop essential 21st-century skills, including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and leadership. Every activity reinforced the belief that learning is most meaningful when curiosity is encouraged and opportunities are embraced.
Here’s to continuing our journey of excellence, curiosity and lifelong learning. We look forward to an even bigger and better Faculty Week in the years ahead.
