This programme that was held at the MRC National Headquarters was collaborating with the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Centre, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (DPCC-UTM) has brought together 100 students from primary and secondary school around Kuala Lumpur.

Participants took part in a series of hands-on and engaging sessions covering essential topics such as first aid and CPR, hygiene practices, climate change awareness, disaster risk reduction, mental health and psychosocial support, as well as road safety. Beyond the educational components, the programme also included team-building activities that strengthened communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, while encouraging teamwork and mutual understanding among students.

Overall, the 5SK Pilot Test Programme provided students with valuable knowledge and practical skills that can be applied in real-life situations. It empowered them to respond confidently during emergencies, make safer decisions, and contribute positively to their communities, ultimately supporting the goal of creating safer schools and safer environments for all.
